Studied shakuhachi under Kinko-ryu shakuhachi master Kawasaki Ōdō in Kobe. Later received a master's license from Ishii Yōdō. He is a member of the Kinko-ryū Kyo Kai and Shakuhachi Kyo Kai. He performs mainly in Saitama Prefecture, Ichikawa City, and Funabashi City.
